Instructions and deadlines

The Conference will give the opportunities for authors to present their research on broader open data topics as explained in the call for papers.


The preferred submission type is extended abstract, but posters by young researchers are also welcome. A smaller number of good quality professional papers will be accepted in so much it sheds light on some important developments of open data design, and implementation.

Submission types

  • Extended Abstracts submission - research papers’ abstract from 1000 up to 2500 words describing the research work carried out, outcomes and discussion, and containing keywords and references. Please use template available here.

  • Poster submission - short presentation of the research in progress, especially welcome from the researchers at the beginning of their career and PhD students, with length up to 1000 words, including keywords and references

Submissions will be accepted by electronic submission form. The following word processor file formats are acceptable:

  • Microsoft word (DOC, DOCX)

  • Rich text format (RTF)

  • OpenDocument format (ODF)


Submissions should meet the formats of the extended abstract or poster submission and are subject to review by the Conference scientific committee.


Publication opportunities

The extended abstracts and posters will be published in the conference proceedings edited by an international board and reviewers which will be available online.

Selected full papers will be invited for publication in the WoS and Scopus indexed journals in interdisciplinary and specific fields beginning of October:

  • Indecs

  • Collection of Papers of the Faculty of Law University of Zagreb

  • MDPI - Sustainability special Issue on Open Urban Mobility for Efficient and Sustainable Transport

  • and other journals publishing on information systems, open data and e-governement

Technical requirements for the later publication of full papers will be announced by each of the journal publishers separately.

Notification on selected papers: 22 October 2022

Registration for the conference: 25 October to 21 November 2022

Publication of abstracts in the Book of abstracts: 1 December 2022

Publication of selected papers in journal(s): March 2023
